Next Stop: Resilient Baldwin is here!

Check out the final plan for the Baldwin Downtown and Commercial Corridor Resiliency Study available here

The Baldwin Downtown and Commercial Corridor Resiliency (DCCR) Study builds on existing local initiatives to create a comprehensive and implementable vision for economically competitive and physically resilient commercial and mix-used districts in the Hamlet of Baldwin.

It will evaluate potential opportunities for economic growth to help foster economic investment, provide housing options, reduce automobile dependence, enhance public spaces, and ultimately create a more economic and physically resilient community. Ultimately, these opportunities could lead to construction of new residences and businesses in close proximity to public transportation and outside of low-lying and flood prone areas.

The study was a recommendation of The Baldwin NY Rising Community Reconstruction Plan and is funded by a grant from the Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery.
